School Day of Non-violence and Peace (DENIP) was first declared in 1964.
Its objective is education for tolerance, solidarity, harmony, respect for human rights, nonviolence and peace.
On this day, colleges and schools become instruments of peace and understanding between people of different backgrounds, race, culture and religion.
We must not forget that school is a reflection of a society with which it shares defects, but it also educates for life and seeks to develop students skills and competencies necessary for participation active social.
Therefore, we must acknowledge and help to teachers, who through education, awareness of all in building a better world.
A fairer and more humane to allow all individuals have the same opportunity to realize their full potential within a democratic, free, fair, responsibly and in peace.
