Broken Capillaries On Body

Thinking about movies: AGAINST HYPEROPIA, Fernando Leon de Aranoa

The craft of making movies according to the director of "AMADOR" . Says Leon de Aranoa in this selection of texts published by a debate that the stories come to be virtually the same for centuries, and what legitimizes the role of storytelling is how to transmit them to their receivers. A film director is a visual storyteller of stories. And the filmmaker Madrid has not stopped asking about their reasons for engaging in this profession almost since the day he shot his first feature, "Family" in 1996. Today, eleven Goyas and Golden Shell at San Sebastian , Among other awards, later, continues to question his role every day in the Art of Storytelling. Often it is in writing.

In these pages reveals the keys to the way they look: the issues that touch you and end up as movies, the stories that could reach the big screen but mutated in short stories (for which he received the Antonio Machado Prize in two occasions), the colleagues who will provide other points of view, and the texts about his films, such as internal working tools, articles and reports or notes of shooting. In AGAINST HYPEROPIA, the director admits that his passion in life was drawing to that he crossed a screenwriting course and found the urge to write. When you try to reconcile the two obsessions wheel through the script, the storyboard and the final images, work in a feature film ("QUARTER", "MONDAYS IN THE SUN", "Princess") or a documentary ("THE BACK OF THE WORLD "" WALKERS "" GOOD NIGHT, OHUMA ") and roll in Vigo, in Mexico or Uganda. Because for him there is a basic necessity and vital through all these stories: that the film deals with what happens around, what happens every day in front of their eyes.
